STEP UP FOR A NUTBUSH SPIN THIS VETERANS’ HEALTH WEEK

Tanya Thompson, Member for Myall Lakes, encourages the community to join the Wingham Community Nutbush Dance this Sunday 13th of October at Wingham Central Park.

Mrs Thompson said this event is organised by the Wingham RSL Sub Branch as part of Veterans’ Health Week.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the ‘keep connected’ theme of this year’s Veterans’ Health Week,” said Mrs Thompson.

“The Nutbush dance is uniquely Australian, and there’s no better way to experience it than with a large group of locals.

“Have some fun while supporting our veterans – I’ll be busting out my best Nutbush moves and I’m excited to see the turn out for this event.”

Local dance instructors will take the lead, with up to 500 participants expected to join the iconic dance. There will be a free sausage sizzle courtesy of the Taree Lions Club and prizes for the best outfits.

Dancing will kick off at 10:45 AM. The event is free and open to all, so everyone is invited to come out and join in the fun.
