Member for Myall Lakes Tanya Thompson has welcomed two new police officers to
the Myall Lakes.
“These new recruits are joining the outstanding team at Manning Great Lakes Police
District which goes above and beyond every day to keep our community safe,” Mrs
Thompson said.
“Policing can be a dangerous and challenging job and we are indebted to all our
police officers for putting their lives on the line as they serve with distinction.
“I thank our new officers for the vital frontline work they will be undertaking. We are
indeed indebted to them for stepping up to protect and serve members of our
community.
“This is tremendous news for our region.”
The new recruits are among 221 new probationary constables in the first class to
attest in 2023 at the Goulburn academy.
They will be deployed to police stations across the state from next week where they
will complete their first year of on-the-job training.
