Thank Your Pharmacist Day is on Thursday the 21st of March and Tanya Thompson, Member for Myall Lakes, extends her appreciation to pharmacists across the Myall Lakes for their invaluable contributions to the nation’s healthcare system.
Thank Your Pharmacist Day is celebrated annually in March and acknowledges the vital work of our pharmacists. This year, under the theme “More than ever,” the day highlights the growing responsibilities carried by pharmacists within Australia’s health care system.
Highlighting the significance of pharmacists, Mrs Thompson said, “The profession is evolving, and pharmacists are stepping up to meet the increasing demands of our healthcare system. From delivering critical medicines to offering a range of specialised services, pharmacists are integral to the health and wellbeing of our communities.”
“Pharmacists are not only accessible in our communities but they also play an essential role in medication management, multidisciplinary care, and promoting the quality use of medicines across hospitals and healthcare facilities.”
“As we navigate through evolving healthcare challenges, the dedication and expertise of pharmacists have become more indispensable than ever. Every pharmacist deserves our sincere thanks for their commitment to public health,” continued Mrs Thompson.
