Posted May 22nd, 2024

Tanya Thompson MP, Member for Myall Lakes, advises motorists of upcoming roadworks scheduled for the Old Bar Road roundabout at Glenthorne and the Pacific Highway at Pampoolah from Tuesday the 28th May.

Mrs Thompson said that this essential maintenance work will be carried out by Transport for NSW.

“It includes asphalt resurfacing to provide motorists with a longer lasting and stronger road surface.”

Details of the Work Schedule:

Old Bar Road Roundabout at Glenthorne: Work will commence from Tuesday, May 28, for four consecutive night shifts between 7 pm and 5 am, subject to weather conditions.

Pacific Highway, Pampoolah: Maintenance will then proceed to the southbound lanes of the Pacific Highway at Pampoolah, near Ella Simon Bridge, starting from Monday, June 3, for five day shifts between 6:30 am and 4 pm, subject to weather conditions.

Mrs Thompson urges motorists to be wary of lane closures and reduced speed limits during the maintenance period. “Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and expect possible delays.”

“I understand the inconvenience roadworks can cause, but these improvements are essential for safer and smoother travels in our region,” said Mrs Thompson.
