Member for Myall Lakes, Tanya Thompson, has highlighted the importance of the upcoming ‘Bring Your Bills’ event in Taree, providing a vital pathway for families to navigate rising energy costs.
Hosted by the Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON), the event offers a one-stop shop for constituents to address financial concerns. With experts from major energy retailers and government agencies on-site, residents can receive personalised assistance with payment plans and rebate eligibility.
“We know that many families in our community are doing it tough right now,” Mrs Thompson said.
“This event is about cutting through the red tape and getting practical help directly to those who need it most. Whether you are struggling with a bill or needing advice, I strongly encourage you to speak with the experts available on the day.”
The event runs from 10am to 2pm on Thursday, 14 May 2026, at the First Steps Count Child and Community Centre in Taree. Attendees are reminded to bring their current energy and water bills to ensure service providers can offer the most accurate advice.
