Member for Myall Lakes, Tanya Thompson, has shared that a Recovery Centre will open in Taree tomorrow to provide support for flood-impacted residents across the Mid North Coast.
From Tuesday 27 May to Friday 30 May, the Taree Manning Uniting Church (29–35 Albert Street) will host a multi-agency Recovery Centre, giving locals access to a range of services, including:
- Help with replacing ID and personal documents such as birth and marriage certificates, Medicare card, vehicle and vessel registrations and licences, and citizenship documents
- Legal assistance
- Insurance support and guidance on claims, policy coverage, and clean-up
- Mental health support
Mrs Thompson said, “These floods have taken a heavy toll on our community, the opening of this Recovery Centre will help people begin the process of rebuilding their lives.
“Support will be available from professionals who are ready to listen, help you navigate paperwork, and guide you through what comes next.
“You don’t have to face this alone, please reach out, come by the Centre, and access the help that’s here for you.”
