More than $100,000 has been returned to communities across the Myall Lakes through Regional Australia Bank’s Community Partnership Program.
The funding includes $31,508.27 for Wingham, $30,872.40 for Tuncurry and $38,454.73 for Taree, as well as $7,816.04 provided to Animal Welfare League NSW.
The local contributions form part of more than $3 million distributed by Regional Australia Bank across its network, with the milestone celebrated at a community event at Club Taree on September 2.
Member for Myall Lakes Tanya Thompson congratulated Regional Australia Bank on its continued support of regional communities.
“This is a fantastic example of a regional organisation giving back to the communities that support it,” Mrs Thompson said.
“More than $100,000 coming back into our local area means valuable support for the community groups and organisations that do so much right across the Myall Lakes.
“These groups rely heavily on fundraising, volunteers and the generosity of our community, so contributions like this can make a genuine difference.
“I congratulate Regional Australia Bank on reaching more than $3 million through its Community Partnership Program and thank them for continuing to invest directly back into our regional communities.”
The Community Partnership Program provides support to community groups, charities and local initiatives across Regional Australia Bank’s network.
