Member for Myall Lakes, Tanya Thompson, is encouraging locals to support a new fundraising campaign helping flood-affected dairy farmers across the Mid North Coast.
The initiative, organised by Member for Port Macquarie, Robert Dwyer, has been developed in partnership with Clubs NSW and the Mid Coast Dairy Advancement Group (MCDAG). It will see participating clubs donate up to 50 cents from every schooner and/or cup of coffee sold between 1 July and 31 October 2025 to a dedicated recovery fund.
In the Myall Lakes, Club Old Bar, Club West in Taree, and Wingham Services Club are taking part.
“These floods have taken a huge toll on our farming families, and many are still dealing with the cost of damage,” Mrs Thompson said.
“The $25,000 in Category C funding falls well short of what’s needed to help farmers recover.”
“This community effort is a great way to show our farmers that we’ve got their backs and I commend our local clubs for stepping up and being part of the solution.”

“Every schooner and coffee purchased helps us give back. The funds raised will go directly toward urgent and practical needs like machinery repairs, fuel and fodder, the essentials our farmers need to keep going.”
Donation tins are also available at the bars of both Club Old Bar and Club West for those who would like to contribute directly.
The campaign supports dairy farmers from the Manning, Macleay and Gloucester regions, an area producing around 25% of NSW’s milk.
“I encourage everyone in our community to pop into their local club and raise a glass for our dairy farmers during one of their toughest times,” Mrs Thompson said.
