Member for Myall Lakes, Tanya Thompson is encouraging individuals, businesses, local government, and not-for-profit organisations who are the owner, manager, long-term lessee or custodian of an item listed on the State Heritage Register to apply for the latest round of NSW Heritage Grants.
Mrs Thompson said applications are now open for the 2025–27 NSW Heritage Grants Round with grants from $10,000 to $300,000 (matched funding) on offer.
“Preserving, maintaining and conserving our heritage is critical to ensuring the longevity of these heritage protected items in our community,” Mrs Thompson said.
“In the Myall Lakes electorate, we are proud to have significant heritage sites such as Old Bar Airfield, Wingham Memorial Town Hall & Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse.”
“The aim of this program is about making sure our State listed heritage items can be given the resources they need to be kept for future generations.”
Shadow Minister for the Environment James Griffin said this funding will continue to build on the investment made by the former Liberal and Nationals Government when he was the Minister for Environment and Heritage.
Applications are currently open and close at 10am on 30 January 2025.
