Forster Tennis Club have been successful in securing a $5,148.04 grant under the NSW Local Sport Grant Program for the replacement of their tennis court seating.

Tanya Thompson, Member for Myall Lakes visited the Tennis Club to congratulate the members on their success.

Mrs Thompson said that Forster Tennis Club is one of eight sporting clubs in the Myall Lakes that will receive a share of $49,999.99.

“Forster Tennis Club is an outstanding local facility that hosts major tournaments, including the NSW Country Championships.

“This funding will replace the aging tennis court seating that are beyond further maintenance and repair,” said Mrs Thompson.

Forster Tennis Club Treasurer, Stephen Hill said the new court seating will improve the experience of all participants in their sporting activity.

“Volunteers will be saved from maintenance/repairs to the aged timber seats.

“New aluminium seating will be assembled, allowing participants to enjoy modern seating and the improved comfort & aesthetic appearance will attract participants,” said Stephen.

Forster Tennis Club thanked Mrs Thompson for her support in making this improvement possible.
