DROP-IN SESSIONS ON STAGE TWO OF MANNING HOSPITAL REDEVELOPMENT

Posted July 10th, 2025

Member for Myall Lakes, Tanya Thompson, is encouraging constituents to attend upcoming community drop-in sessions to learn more about Stage Two of the Manning Hospital Redevelopment.

Rescheduled from May due to severe weather, the sessions will take place on Wednesday, 30 July at:

  • Taree Regional Art Gallery from 11:00am to 2:30pm
  • Taree Central Shopping Centre (outside Big W) from 3:00pm to 5:00pm

“These sessions are a great opportunity for locals to ask questions and learn more about how this redevelopment will benefit our region,” said Mrs Thompson.

Stage Two is part of the $180 million Lower Mid North Coast Health Services Project and will deliver a new three-storey inpatient unit, including modern clinical and support services such as an enhanced cardiac observation unit.

Site preparation is already underway, with a planning application to be publicly exhibited later this year. Construction timelines will be confirmed once planning is finalised.

“This project is really important for the future of healthcare in our community, so come along and have your say,” Mrs Thompson added.
