ADDITIONAL EVACUATION CENTRES OPEN ACROSS MYALL LAKES

Member for Myall Lakes, Tanya Thompson, is urging residents to remain vigilant and follow evacuation advice as severe weather continues to cause dangerous flooding across the region.

Mrs Thompson confirmed that two additional evacuation centres have now been opened in Tuncurry and Bulahdelah to assist residents impacted by the ongoing emergency.

Current evacuation centres in the Myall Lakes region include:

  • Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club – 21 Parkes Street, Tuncurry
  • Bulahdelah Golf Club – 66 Golf Club Drive, Bulahdelah
  • Club Taree – 121 Wingham Road, Taree
  • Manning Point Bowling Club – 20/22 Manning Street, Manning Point
  • Wingham RSL – 28-38 Bent Street, Wingham

“These official evacuation centres are open and ready to provide support to anyone who has been forced to leave their home,” Mrs Thompson said.

“Please do not take any chances with your safety. If you’re advised to evacuate, act immediately and make your way to the nearest centre.”

Residents are encouraged to stay up to date by downloading the Hazards Near Me app and following NSW SES on social media.
