Member for Myall Lakes, Tanya Thompson, is encouraging local community groups to apply for the 2026 New South Wales Government Community Building Partnership program, with up to $450,000 in funding available for projects across the electorate.
The program provides funding for small infrastructure projects that improve community facilities and support local organisations, with grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 being available.
Mrs Thompson stated that the funding is a valuable opportunity for local groups to deliver practical projects that directly benefit the community.
“Local organisations are at the heart of our community, and this program helps them deliver real improvements where they are needed most,” Mrs Thompson said.
Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organisations, councils and community groups delivering projects within their local area.
Applications opened on 20 April 2026 and will close at 5:00pm on 8 May 2026.
Mrs Thompson said she encourages all eligible groups across the Myall Lakes electorate to apply.
“This is about backing local ideas and supporting the people who keep our communities safe, strong and connected,” she said.
