Member for Myall Lakes, Tanya Thompson, has announced $22,386 for roof repairs at the Taree Railway Institute Bowling Club through the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership program.

Mrs Thompson said the Taree Railway Institute Bowling Club has been part of the community for generations.

“These repairs will protect the building and allow the club to move ahead with solar, creating long-term savings,” Mrs Thompson said.

Secretary Manager Tim Magin welcomed the support. “Fixing the roof is the first step to putting in solar, which will make a huge difference to our running costs.

“Every saving helps us keep the club open and accessible for our members and local groups,” Mr Magin said.

The Community Building Partnership program funds projects that promote inclusion, participation, and sustainability.
